SEMINARS & LUNCH/LEARN SESSIONS

Our seminars are designed to teach participants how to develop, maintain and enjoy a healthy lifestyle.  We share tools and strategies to live healthier and happier by making better nutrition choices, increasing activity, creating change, and improving relationships.

Our sessions fit into any schedule - 30, 45, 60 or 90 minute in length - you choose!

FROM SEDENTARY TO STRONG
New to exercise, recovering from an injury or has life taken you away from leading an active lifestyle?  This is the perfect start on your successful fitness journey.  Learn to exercise while recovering from injuries, how to get over some of the common excuses for not exercising, strategies to stay focused, how to find activities you enjoy and will stick with, and an explanation of what your body will go through as you begin an amazing journey on the road to changing your life for the better.  

STRONG AND HEALTHY YOU 
Do you ever wonder what your body is going through before, during and after exercise?  Or how much you need to be exercising?  Join us as we outline all of the benefits of exercise; from curing depression and managing other diseases to providing new vitality and zest for life.  We discuss exercise recommendations for achieving different goals as well as the benefits and differences between aerobics, strength training and flexibility.   

HEALTHY COMFORT FOR EMOTIONAL EATING
Most of the time snacking and overeating are caused by boredom, stress or depression.   Did you know that certain foods can cause depression? Let us help you identify triggers that make you binge and how to stop those cravings.  We will also share some great tasting alternatives to sinful foods with our healthy “comfort food” recipes. 
 
FOOD ON THE GO
For anyone wanting to lose weight, most of the battle lies on the plate. Planning ahead, getting the entire family involved, knowing what healthy options are available at the drive-thru as well as which snacks to stash in your desk will all help in your success.  We will also provide strategies on shopping for groceries and share healthy recipes that can be prepared in minutes.

SUCCESSFUL STRESS STRATEGIES
Sometimes it is hard to slow down, live in the moment, and be happy.   We provide valuable tools, utilizing breathing and meditation techniques that everyone can use to help calm and center the body and mind whenever it is needed.

Life is full of commitments – financial, family, professional, volunteer organizations and so much more.  How do you fit it all in?  Learn strategies for taking control of your life plus how and when to say “NO”.   Full of tips for organizing your daily tasks, ways to take time for yourself, and how to make time for things that matter.

This is an open Q&A segment where participants can ask anything related to physical fitness.  From showing exercises to tone certain body parts to questions about calculating heart rates, we answer every question you have about exercise, plus bust those exercise myths that everyone wonders about.

We will provide the life-changing tools you need to change your habits with 30 days of practical steps that include pinpointing goals, reverse engineering a course of action to achieve them, and identifying toxic relationships.  You will learn how to create layers of accountability and support so that success is your only option.  We will discuss: 
        Defining goals that align with priorities (family, career)
        Assistance in creating a plan to reach your goals
        We create an effective to-do list together so you learn what and how to prioritize

Strong relationships don't happen by accident, they take work.  We will share simple, easy steps and ideas to strengthen and reinforce your relationships every day.

WOMEN'S SELF DEFENSE BASICS
We discuss and demonstrate easy-to-learn physical protection skills, safe escapes tricks and basic safety tips to prevent assaults in order to decrease your risks and increase your options if presented with a potentially harmful situation.
