The American Dietetic Association indicates in the last 3 decades, the number of children who are overweight more than doubled. For the first time in U.S. history, research shows that if today's obesity epidemic continues, it could cut as much as 2 - 5 years from the average life-span of today's youth.
This is a complete reversal in life expectancy trends for our modern age!
Furthermore, statistics from a 2003-2004 U.S. Center for Disease Control & Prevention study shows that more than 12.5 million children and adolescents (17%) in the United States are overweight or obese.
Approximately 30% of children between the ages of 6 and 15 are overweight and 1/2 of those are considered obese.

We are passionate about children's health and wellness! We have fitness classes for baby all the way through the teen years. Classes run in 6-week sessions, and we prorate. Class descripitions can be found HERE.
KIDS CLASSES FOR ALL AGES
NEWBORN - PRE-CRAWLING BABIES
MOMS/DADS/GRANDPARENTS & BABY – Combining the best of Yoga and Pilates, this class works the whole body. Connecting mind, body and breath, this class focuses on opening the upper body and building core strength incorporating baby as appropriate. You will boost your immune system, increase circulation and flexibility while bonding with baby. No advanced poses here, just a good simple workout every time.
CRAWLING - UP TO 2 YEARS
BABIES ON THE MOVE – This is a playful and fun class for both child and parent or caregiver. Babies love to be active and you encourage them with exercises that promote rolling, crawling, scooting, bouncing and more.
AGES 2 - 5
WEE-FIT - This class allows young kids to move and play in a safe environment. This class incorporates something that every child will enjoy; popular kids games, obstacle courses, dancing, and more. Our techniques promote teamwork, healthy competition, individuality, and fun while building confidence, mind/body awareness, coordination, gross motor skills, and so much more.
AGES 5 - 12
KIDS BOOTCAMP - Our Kids bootcamp puts the fun in gym class and gives the older kids an opportunity to guide the younger kids. We empower them with familiar body weight tasks, basic circuit style drills or obstacle courses, and cardio intervals, which will help develop coordination and strength, plus get those wiggles out. Each session ends with a short discussion about the healthy topic of the day.
KID POWER - This is an awesome youth conditioning class that teaches them safe and proper technique for lifting and landing. The class incorporates plyometrics, speed drills and fitness games. The primary focus is reaction, power, agility and flexibility to reduce the risk of injuries in the various sports in which kids participate. This class is for athletic or more active children.
AGES 13 - 18
TEEN YOGA - Offering teen yoga to develop body/mind strength and flexibility through flowing sequences of traditional yoga, breathing, meditation and relaxation techniques. Special emphasis on stress management, supporting self esteem and body appreciation through creative reflection and positive thinking.
TEEN FIT CAMP - The camp empowers kids by showing them they can be successful in strength, aerobic and flexibility challenges by putting a spin on traditional exercises from gym class to make them fun but effective. Each class ends with a discussion about healthy choices where the kids can engage and ask questions in a safe environment. Class is for less active kids or those needing to lose weight.
TURBO TEENS - Our goal is to help teens develop a positive attitude towards exercise while gaining a foundation for self-defense. They will learn kicks, punches, combinations, blocks and strikes while getting a great cardiovascular workout. Kickboxing provides a great outlet for stress while developing discipline and focus.
TEEN BODY BALANCE - This class will help develop core strength with easy to follow Yoga and Pilates movements that build flexibility and challenge balance and coordination while promoting perfect posture, proper breathing techniques, patience and persistence. This workout will reduce stress and leave you feeling centered and calm.
